Great hostel to stay for a good price,really friendly staff and all my trips and activities I ve booked through them. Good discounts,if you stay at Base. It was not my first time ,I stayed at Base. Strongly recommend for solo and group travellers.

Everyone was friendly and particularly Megan was brilliant in booking tours and no question was too much for her to answer. I liked that the acomodation was spread out. Kitchen and bath rooms are kept very clean.

I would be nice to have one of this coffee machines in the kitchen where you pay money and get a good cup of coffee out of it. A kettle in the rooms would be nice too for that late cup of tea.

We stayed for one night and the room was excellent. We even had a jacuzzi in the room what was totally unexpected.

The picturesque gardens around each room. It feels like apartment blocks rather than a hostel. Very nice setting for a hostel

Shower Bath in room. Great meal & beer deal $10Aus for steak meal & beer! Wish I had booked more time there! Definitely a good deal for great service!

Our room was great, the staff was very helpful, and it is in the best location in Airlie Beach. In addition, the Down Under Bar right on premise has the best meal / drink deal in town. I would absolutely stay here again.

It was convienent to everything, the rooms were very large and compfortable for the price, the lanscape is nice and everyone was having fun.

Were told children not allowed on grounds - although exception was made, we would not have expected such child unfriendly approach in principle. First hotel ever we experienced this. Room was laid out for 4, however, quilts only available for 2 (had to ask for more), only 2 cups, no chairs, fridge not working, tv needed some tuning, kitchen no equipment at all.

Bathroom and room is quite old but the spaciousness makes up for it I did not use the kitchen but the people who used them did not seem to have clean up after themselves
